A surprise party, but make it a blog

SURPRISE!! – That’s what we would be yelling right now, if this were a party IRL. But since we’re here on the interwebs, we’ll all just have to imagine it.

Today, June 4th, we’re singing Happy Birthday to Melody, the OG co-founder of Wings Hawaii. For a little digital version of a surprise party, we rounded up our favorite things about her to share.

Like any Wings girl, Melody wears many hats. She’s very active on the administrative end of things; always brainstorming the next new thing to make. She screenprints our artwork onto clothing, collages artwork onto the decal dishware, and keeps the shop staff schedule together. She has her hands in many, many aspects of Wings Hawaii, and excels at all of them.

But Melody is so many other things beyond just a badass businesswoman. She’s a marvelous mother, loyal friend, shell-finding queen, thrifter extraordinaire, skilled artisan and maker, inspiring community activist and volunteer, and so much more. She wins hearts all over with her infectious smile and hilarious, down-to-earth vibes.

If you know her, lucky you! And if you don’t (yet), these highlights from the Wings team should help you love her as much as we do.

Happy birthday, Melody!
