From the cool island air to the late summer blooms and the dreamy drizzles in between, there is just something about Fall in Hawaii. We are constantly inspired by the wild nature that surrounds us and this season we wanted to capture that raw beauty in our unique textures and design.
While these memorable Fall 2018 shots are captured between the hours of 12 and 6, the real work began in those precious hours leading up to the day of the shoot. With each shoot we start with a simple, yet great idea and that leads into the pieces that tell a bit of our story. A rough outline is planned for that big day but all the fine details are left to the last minute. We have found that we work best right down to the wire when our creative juices are just flowing.
In the typical Wings Hawaii style, this was all made possible by a power team of talented women. Lending us their natural beauty enhanced by Chrissy Swink of Makeup Maui and Hair, models Carly Seibel and Jordan Payne brought our fall dreams to life! Both have modeled for us in the past, so it was almost extra special to ring them back under our wings for this. And there to capture the magic was our badass photographer and friend, Melia Lucinda, who worked with Olinda rain to snap each scene perfectly.
From our new boutique location to our redesigned website, this year has been filled with a lot of changes and firsts. We were able to check off a lot of ideas that we have always wanted to create, like our flower mandala, and even had the opportunity to sprinkle in a few that just seemed to happen at the perfect moment. With each handmade, ocean-inspired clothing and jewelry, we hope to inspire you to find your inner mermaid.
