If Disney’s Lilo and Stitch taught us anything is that ohana (family) is highly valued here in the islands, and is especially dear to our hearts here at Wings Hawaii. Along with our influential mothers, the time spent creating memories with our fathers has helped us have the drive to do what we do. Whether you are celebrating a new daddy, an experienced father, or a dad in between, if your Hawaiian vacation aligns with June 17th we have some things to do in Maui that is all about him!
Treat Him To A Meal...Or Maybe A Beer
There is no better way to a man’s heart than through his stomach, so why not treat the dad in your life to an ono (delicious) meal at one of Maui’s best restaurants. From bottomless beer to buffet brunches and dinner, the possibilities are almost endless! North Shore Maui even has a few of our favorite spots to celebrate with an ice cold beer, particularly Rock and Brews of Paia. With rock memorabilia, large entertainment TV screens, and an assortment of beer on tap this is just the place to quench any father’s thirst.
Hit The Clubs
From intermediate to championship golf, the Valley Isle is known for some of the best golf courses in the world. If your father is an avid golfer or just an enthusiast of the sport, a day out on the green might be just the way to make this day just a little more special. You can choose either North, South, or West Maui and he will still be treated to lush mountains and ocean glimpses in the background
Reel Him In
And if dad is more of a fan of the ocean blue, then let’s reel in the perfect Father’s Day catch! There are quite a few fishing boats that can be chartered for sport that range from small morning runs to an all-day affair. Give him the chance to bring in ahi, ono, mahimahi and even three kinds of marlin to cook up for dinner! And if he rather spend the day near the shoreline, you could simply rent some fishing gear from a local sporting goods store and head on over to one of the best Maui beaches to hook em up!
Above all, we are sure that the special man in your life wants to make precious memories with you - his family. Regardless of what you end up doing, we hope that you continue to take a moment each day to celebrate your dad. Hawaii is truly beautiful but what actually makes a Maui vacation so memorable is the people that you spend it with.
